HPM announces plans for modular homes

KAILUA-KONA — HPM Building Supply last week announced plans to launch a new line of modular homes for Hawaii Island residents, “HalePlus,” that the company is calling a “fast, customizable and affordable option for homeownership.”

2 disturbances likely to become tropical storms

Two disturbances in the Eastern Pacific have 80% chances of becoming tropical storms within the next five days, according to forecasters with the National Hurricane Center and Central Pacific Hurricane Center.

Lau Ola gets OK for 3rd dispensary

The state Department of Health on Friday issued a formal notice to proceed to Lau Ola LLC, doing business as Big Island Grown Dispensaries, for its third licensed medical cannabis dispensary retail center after passing its final on-site inspection.
