The National Transportation Safety Board says it has recovered the Hawaii Life Flight aircraft that went down off the coast of Maui in mid-December.

The Hawaii State Department of Health reported 5 new deaths related to COVID-19 and 1,343 new infections over the last seven days in Hawaii. The total number of deaths stands at 1,770. Statewide test positivity is at 7.5%.
