This is a Weekly COVID-19 informational update for Wednesday, March 30th.

In the last 7 days for Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 92 new cases, 120 active cases, and 2 persons hospitalized.

While the Island of Hawaii is categorized by the CDC as Low Risk, it is recommended as a Best Practice that;

– Masks be worn around vulnerable populations, when in crowded areas, or where there is little to no distancing available in public.
– Wash hands frequently and use hand sanitizer.
– Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly.
– And, stay home if sick – are all best practices we can live by.

The County of Hawaii will continue to have available hand sanitizing stations and you are welcomed to wear masks at county facilities.
