This is a Civil Defense message.

 

This is a Weekly COVID-19 informational update for Wednesday, March 23rd.

 

In the last 7 days for Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 53 new cases, 101 active cases, and 3 persons hospitalized.

 

On testing, today, Community Testing is scheduled in Kona at Old Kona Airport pavilion from 3 PM to 7 PM.

 

Tomorrow, Thursday, testing is scheduled in Ka`u at Na`alehu Community Center from 3 PM to 5 PM and in Hilo at Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium from 3 PM to 7 PM.

 

The County of Hawaii is suspending Community Testing after Thursday, March 24th.  Testing remains available through healthcare providers.  The Civil Defense will maintain coordination with the Department of Health to monitor the level of coronavirus in our community, and is prepared to resume community testing should the situation change.
