This is a Civil Defense message.

This is a COVID-19 informational update for Wednesday, February 23rd.

For Hawaii County, Department of Health reports 12 new cases, 889 active cases, and 19 persons hospitalized.

Community testing for today, Wednesday is scheduled in North Kona at Old Kona Airport pavilion and in Hilo at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium both from noon to 7 pm.

Testing for tomorrow, Thursday is scheduled in Hilo at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium from 9 am to 2 pm, in Ka`u at Pahala Community Center from noon to 2 pm, and at Na`alehu Community Center from 3 pm to 5 pm.

Please note that community testing hours will change starting next week Monday.
