This is a COVID-19 informational update for Wednesday, January 19th.
For Hawaii County, Department of Health reports 240 new cases, 5,163 active cases, and 39 persons hospitalized.
Positive cases continue to be elevated. Please protect yourself, your family, and your community from coronavirus by following the preventive measures of wearing face coverings, distancing, disinfecting your hands, limiting and avoiding gatherings, staying home, especially when sick, and vaccinating.
If you feel sick or believe you may have been exposed to a positive case, please get tested and isolate until you receive your results.
Today, Community Testing is scheduled in Kona at the Old Kona Airport pavilion and at the Hilo Civic from 12 noon to 7 PM.
