Hawai’i to receive $339 million in federal funding to repair bridges across the state
The funds come from the DOT’s Department of Transportation’s newly launched Bridge Replacement, Rehabilitation, Preservation, Protection, and Construction Program, which was funded by November 2021’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The $339 million will be distributed in waves over the next five years, with the first $67.8 million arriving in 2022.
HDOT warns public of an email phishing scam, “Do not click on it, delete it”
According to HDOT, a phishing link was sent out on an email from firstname.lastname@example.org that stated “You have an incomplete Hawai‘i DMV contact information on your Hawai‘i Department of Motor Vehicle. You are required to update your Hawai‘i DMV profile.” DMV information would not be solicited over email, according to HDOT.
