This is a Civil Defense message.

This is a COVID-19 informational update for Sunday, January 2, 2022.

For Hawaii County the Department of Health reports 238 new cases with 1493 active cases and 9 persons hospitalized.

If you feel sick or that you may have been exposed to coronavirus, please get tested.  For a comprehensive calendar and list of all pharmacies and clinics providing vaccination and testing, please visit the Civil Defense website.

For tomorrow, Monday, testing will be available in North Kohala at Kamehameha Park from 7am to 10am and at the Waimea District Park beginning at 2pm until 5pm and in Hilo at the Afook Chinen Civic beginning at 12pm until 7pm

The Department of Health recommends getting vaccinated and getting a booster shot to protect yourself, your family, and friends
