This is a COVID-19 informational update for Wednesday, September 15th.
For Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 89 new cases and 1,381 active cases, with 52 persons hospitalized.
Your help is needed to stop the spread. Please continue to follow the preventive measures of wearing face coverings, maintaining physical distancing, and limiting gatherings, keeping activity to essential needs only and staying home when you are sick.
Testing is scheduled today in Hilo at the Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium from 2 ‘til 6 this afternoon and testing and vaccination at the Honaunau Rodeo Arena from 1 ‘til 5 this afternoon.
For Thursday testing and vaccination in Hilo at the Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium from 11 in the morning ‘til 4 in the afternoon and testing in Kau at the Pahala Community Center from 12 ‘til 2 in the afternoon.
