This is a COVID-19 informational update for Tuesday, September 7th.
For Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 50 new cases, 1,708 active cases, with 66 hospitalized.
Do know that the large number of infected, non-vaccinated persons is straining medical resources to critical levels, which affects everyone’s access to medical care. We can slow the spread, if we all kokua.
Please help stop the virus by getting vaccinated. A comprehensive calendar and list of all clinics and pharmacies providing vaccination and testing is posted on the Civil Defense website.
The next testing will be Wednesday in Hilo at the Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium from 2 ‘til 6 in the afternoon.
