This is a COVID-19 informational update for Friday, July 23rd.
For the County of Hawaii, the Department of Health reports 39 new cases with 277 active cases, and 7 persons hospitalized.
The number of Coronavirus cases continue to increase on Hawaii Island. These cases are both travel and community spread related. The increase in cases demonstrates the importance of following the preventive policies of face coverings, physical distancing, and limiting gatherings to help reduce the spread of this virus.
The Department of Health will be offering COVID vaccination at the County of Hawaii Community Test Clinic sites scheduled for Tuesdays at Kona Aquatics in Kailua-Kona and on Wednesdays at Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo. Both COVID vaccination and testing will be open from 3 PM to 6 PM. Pre-registration for testing can be found online at https://CovidFreeHawaii.Com.
For information on clinics and pharmacies offering vaccination and testing, please visit the County of Hawaii website.
