This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday, July 22nd.
For the County of Hawaii, the Department of Health reports 50 new cases with 248 active cases, and 7 persons hospitalized.
The number of Coronavirus cases continues to increase on Hawaii Island.
These cases are both travel and community spread related. The increase in cases demonstrates the importance of following the preventive policies of face coverings, physical distancing, and limiting gatherings to help reduce the spread of the virus.
County of Hawaii Community Testing is scheduled for Tuesdays at Kona Aquatics in Kailua-Kona and on Wednesdays at Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo Both locations are open from 3 PM to 6 PM. Pre-registration online for these test clinics at https://CovidFreeHawaii.Com.
