This is a COVID-19 informational update for Tuesday, July 20th.

For the County of Hawaii, the Department of Health reports 15 new cases with 204 active cases, and 7 persons hospitalized.

The number of Coronavirus cases continues to increase on Hawaii Island.  These cases are both travel related and community spread.  The increase in cases demonstrates the importance of following the preventive policies of face coverings, physical distancing, and limiting gathering sizes to help reduce the spread of the virus.

The County of Hawaii will provide Community Testing on Tuesday at Kona Aquatics in Kailua-Kona and on Wednesday at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo.  Both locations will be open from 3 PM to 6 PM.  The purpose of testing is to identify positive cases as early as possible, and in this way, help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

For information on clinics and pharmacies offering vaccination, please visit the County of Hawaii website.
