This is a COVID-19 informational update for Monday, July 5th.
For the County of Hawaii, the Department of Health reports 6 new cases with 87 active cases, and 5 persons hospitalized.
On Coronavirus testing, tomorrow Tuesday, testing is scheduled in Hilo at Lokahi Park from 9 AM to 1 PM.
For Coronavirus vaccination, the Department of Health, clinics, and pharmacies offer coronavirus vaccinations on a regular basis. All persons 12 years-of-age and older are eligible for vaccination. Please take this opportunity to get vaccinated and know that by being vaccinated, you are helping to keep your family and friends safe. For information, please visit the Civil Defense website for a list of all clinics and pharmacies providing tests and vaccinations.

During this holiday weekend, mahalo for your kokua in keeping Hawaii safe, in following the preventive measures of face coverings, distancing, and limiting gatherings. Businesses and residents of Hawaii Island continue to show that we can do this.
