This is a COVID-19 informational update for Friday, June 11th.
For the County of Hawaii, the Department of Health reports 30 new cases with 5 persons hospitalized.
On Tuesday, June 15th, all restrictions on inter-island travel will end. Coronavirus tests, Safe Travels Hawaii registration, and quarantine exemptions will no longer be required for inter-island travel beginning June 15th.
For Trans-Pacific travel, Safe Travels Hawaii registration, pre-travel coronavirus test, or proof of vaccination in Hawaii remain in effect and are requirements to avoid the mandatory ten day quarantine.
The Department of Health has a vaccination clinic scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, June 12th from 9 AM until 2 PM at Kealakehe Middle School in Kailua-Kona.
The Department of Health, clinics, and pharmacies offer coronavirus vaccinations on a regularly basis. By being vaccinated, you are helping to keep your family and friends safe. For information regarding vaccinations, please contact the Department of Health at 300-1120. You can also visit the Civil Defense website for a list of all clinics and pharmacies providing vaccinations and tests.
