This is a COVID-19 informational update for Monday, May 24th.
For Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 5 new Coronavirus cases and is currently monitoring 54 active cases with 1 person hospitalized.
The next scheduled COVID test is on Wednesday in Kau at the Kahuku Park in Ocean View from 9 ‘til noon.
Vaccination is an important step toward protecting our community and in stopping the spread of COVID-19. The CDC recommends everyone 12 years-of-age and older get vaccinated to help keep their family, friends, and community safe.
For more information regarding vaccination, please contact the Department of Health at 300-1120. You can also visit the Civil Defense website for a list of all clinics and pharmacies providing vaccinations.
