This is a Civil Defense message.
This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday, May 20th.
For Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 2 new Coronavirus cases and is currently monitoring 57 active cases with 2 persons hospitalized.
The next scheduled testing will be on Friday when a test is scheduled in Puna at the Pahoa District Park from 9 ‘til noon. You may also go to community clinics and medical facilities for COVID-19 testing. Please call the clinic or facility before you go.
Vaccination is an important step toward protecting our community and in stopping the spread of COVID-19. The CDC recommends everyone 12 years-of-age and older get vaccinated to help keep their family, friends, and community safe.
For more information regarding vaccination, please contact the Department of Health at 300-1120. You can also visit the Civil Defense website for a list of all clinics and pharmacies providing vaccinations.
