This is a COVID-19 informational update for Friday, May 14th.
For Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 1 new Coronavirus case and is currently monitoring 59 active cases with 2 persons hospitalized.
As a reminder, the recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance for face masks does not replace State and local rules, regulations, or guidelines. The preventive measures of face coverings, distancing, and limiting gatherings to no more than 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors remain in place for everyone. On testing for tomorrow, Saturday, a test is scheduled in North Kona at the West Hawaii Civic Center from 9 to noon.
