This is a Civil Defense message.
This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday, April 29th.
The Department of Health reports 4 new Coronavirus case and 2 persons hospitalized and is currently 69 active cases in Hawaii County.
On testing for today, no tests are scheduled. The next scheduled test is on Friday when a test is scheduled in Puna at the Pahoa District Park from 9 ‘till noon.
The County sponsored test schedule will change in May. There will be one test in Hilo at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium on Wednesdays and one test in North Kona at the West Hawaii Civic Center on Saturdays.
The Department of Health also reports that vaccination slots are available for everyone 18 years-of-age and older at vaccination PODs and at local pharmacies. Hilo Medical Center is also offering appointments for the Pfizer vaccine to those 16 years-of-age and older.
