This is a COVID-19 informational update for Saturday, April 17th.
On testing for today, Saturday, there are three tests scheduled. One in Hilo at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium from 8 this morning ‘til 12 noon, one in North Kona at the West Hawaii Civic Center from 9 this morning ‘til 1 this afternoon, and one in Puna at Keaau High School from 1 ‘til 5 this afternoon.
The Department of Health is monitoring 121 active Coronavirus cases in Hawaii County; there are 11 new cases with 7 persons hospitalized today. You do not have to be symptomatic to get tested, do take these opportunities to get tested if you think you may have been exposed. Post arrival testing continues at Hawaii Island airports for those arriving from transpacific travel.
