This is a Civil Defense message.
This is a COVID-19 informational update for Tuesday, April 6th.
On community testing for today, Tuesday, there will be testing in Volcano at the Cooper Center from 9 to 12 in the morning and Mt. View Gym from 1:30 ‘til 4 in the afternoon.
The next community testing will be Wednesday when two community tests are offered. One in Hilo at the Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium from 3 ‘til 6 in the afternoon and in South Kona at the Konawaena High School from 2 ‘til 5 in the afternoon.
Department of Health is monitoring 156 active cases in Hawaii County. Coronavirus continues to be a threat in our community, and we must continue the efforts to keep Hawaii Safe. It remains important that we follow the preventive policies of face coverings, distancing, and limiting gathering sizes to no more than 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors. Please accept this kuleana to help reduce the spread of the virus.
Individuals 16 and older may register with select vaccine providers. For a complete listing of all vaccine providers on Hawaii Island go to the county of Hawaii Civil Defense webpage.
