This is a Civil Defense message.
This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday, April 1st.
There are no community tests scheduled today.
The next community testing will be Saturday when three district tests are scheduled. One in Hilo at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium. One in South Kona at the Konawaena High School. One in Puna at Keaau High School
DoH is monitoring 132 active cases in Hawaii County; there are 8 new cases reported today. Coronavirus continues to be a threat in our community. It remains important that we continue to follow the preventive policies of face coverings, distancing, and limiting gathering sizes to no more than 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors until the threat is reduced. Please accept this kuleana to help reduce the spread of the virus.
The Department of Health is now registering persons aged 60 and older to be vaccinated. If you have questions regarding vaccine availability for your age group, please contact the Department of Health at 300-1120. You can also visit the Civil Defense website for a list of all clinics and pharmacies providing vaccinations.
