This is a COVID-19 informational update for Sunday, March 28th.
Community testing for today, Sunday, no test are scheduled.
The next community testing will be Wednesday, March 31, when 2 District Tests are schedule. One in Hilo at Hilo Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium. One in South Kona at Konawaena High School.
New Coronavirus cases are being detected within our community and it is important that we continue following the preventive policies of face coverings, distancing, and limiting gathering sizes to no more than 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors. The Department of Health has announced beginning Monday, March 29 persons age 60 and older will be eligible for vaccination. If you have questions regarding vaccine availability for your age group, please contact the Department of Health at 300-1120. You can also visit the Civil Defense website for a list of all clinics and pharmacies providing vaccinations.
