This is a COVID-19 informational update for Sunday, January 31st.
The Hawaii Department of Health reports ten (10) new cases of Coronavirus with two (2) persons hospitalized on Hawaii Island. There have been no deaths reported in the last four weeks.
We are in peak flu season, so it remains important to continue practicing the preventive measures of face masks, distancing, and not gathering in groups larger than 10 people to keep you and your family safe from Coronavirus and the Flu. Thank your kokua.
The Hilo Medical Center (HMC), North Hawaii Community Hospital (QNHCH) and the Kona Community Hospital (KCH) are offering vaccine registration to individuals who are 75 and older. Please visit their websites for more information and to register.
Hawaii residents 75 and older may also register for an appointment to be vaccinated by calling the Department of Health at 808-300-1120 from 9 AM until 3 PM Monday through Friday, except for holidays.
