Concerns arise over prosecutor’s son’s job

HONOLULU — The man responsible for prosecuting the mostly Native Hawaiian elders arrested for protesting construction of a giant telescope said there is no conflict of interest, even though his son works for one of the embattled project’s partners.

Police seek leads on burglary suspects

Police are requesting the public’s assistance to identify the suspects they say are responsible for a burglary at a closed business establishment in the 65-1200 block of Kawaihae Road in Waimea.
