HDOT removes derelict vessels from Honolulu Harbor
The Hawaii Department of Transportation’s Harbors Division has removed three boats that may have posed a risk during a severe storm in preparation for a more active hurricane season. HDOT says it is working with other state agencies to recover some of removal costs and fees from the owners and their insurance companies.
Hawaiian Airlines flight attendants want new contract
The flight attendants will gather at Daniel K. Inouye Airport next Wednesday to protest ongoing contract negotiations with Hawaiian Airlines management. Representatives say wages are lower than industry standards and have not kept up with the increasing cost of living.

Four Seasons O‘ahu’s artist in residence: Eduardo Bolioli show opening
Saturday, June 22 at 5 p.m. is the unveiling of Life on Board with Eduardo Bolioli, Four Seasons’ 2019 Artist in Residence. Life on Board is an installation of 15 original custom painted surfboards inspired by the life aquatic.
The annual used booksale at the McKinley High School cafeteria starts tomorrow and continues throughout the week. In addition to over 150,000 books, the sale will feature a selection of CDs, DVDs, comics and art.
