Governor Ige signs bill to create a task force on involuntary hospitalization
The task force will review and make recommendations to the Legislature to reduce ER visits by providing different levels of mental health care. Existing state laws require at-risk individuals to be brought to a medical facility by law enforcement for evaluation and possible hospitalization.
