Dairy discharges 800,000 gallons of sewage into Big Island waters
Big Island Dairy has intentionally discharged about 800,000 gallons of wastewater, prompting health and civil defense officials to warn the public to stay out of waters near the Kaohaoha Gulch. W.H. Shipman ushers in new president
The reins of the Big Island’s fourth-largest private landowner quietly changed hands last week. The new president of W.H. Shipman Ltd. is Margaret “Peggy” Farias, previously the chief financial officer and treasurer of the Keaau-based company. She is the company’s seventh chief executive. Tribune-Herald.
