Testifiers generally oppose new school immunization requirements
The public spoke out during a hearing held at the Hilo State Office Building on the Hawaii State Department of Health’s proposed amendments to Title 11, Chapter 157, “Examination and Immunization,” which will update and clarify the immunization and examination requirements for school, post-secondary school, and child care facility attendance in Hawaii. Big Island Video News.

Oahu politicians weigh in on Hu Honua Bioenergy power plant
Members of the Oahu County Committee on Legislative Priorities are concerned of the environmental impacts from the plant. Committee chair Melodie Aduja said she’s concerned the state didn’t force this company to do an environmental assessment because it makes renewable energy. They want the Public Utilities Commission to withdraw support for Hu Honua Bioenergy. KITV.

Abandoned boat to be removed
