County Council names Chung chairman

Hurricane Lane disaster recovery center opens in Hilo
The U.S. Small Business Administration will operate the center in Hilo at the Hawaii County Building, from November 27 to December 6. The SBA says it acted under its own authority to declare a disaster following the denial of the state’s appeal for a major disaster declaration for individual assistance in the wake of Hurricane Lane. Big Island Video News.

Beach cleanup program to continue a third year
