Waimea Park Bandstand vandalized, closed down

KAILUA-KONA — The Waimea Park Bandstand is closed indefinitely after an unknown person or persons vandalized the area early Thursday morning, according to a release from the Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation.

EPA forces action on 10 cesspools

HONOLULU – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) enforcement actions this year in Hawaii led to closures of 10 large-capacity cesspools (LCC) and over $640,000 in fines.
