Fallen officer mourned; police search for alleged killer

Condolences to the family of fallen Puna patrol Officer Bronson Kaimana Kaliloa poured in Wednesday as word spread that the 10-year Hawaii Police Department veteran was shot and killed Tuesday night, allegedly by a man wanted on an arrest warrant.

Lava about 700 meters from park, boat ramp

Lava from Kilauea volcano’s lower East Rift Zone eruption continues to edge its way toward Isaac Hale Beach Park and Pohoiki boat ramp this morning, according to officials.
