Heavy vog expected in Kona till next week

The National Weather Service reported Wednesday that light winds will bring vog inland and to the south, wrapping around to the Kona area. The heavy vog conditions are expected to remain this way until the early part of next week.

Lawsuit filed in alleged child starvation

The maternal aunt of a 9-year-old Hilo girl allegedly starved to death almost two years ago by her parents and maternal grandmother has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the state, the girl’s parents and her maternal grandmother.
