As Pualani Lincoln Maielua steered Hokule‘a into harbor Sunday evening, the call of a pu swept the sea and about a dozen canoes made their way out to greet the incoming crew.

State police seeking information on turtle killing

HILO — Officers from the DLNR Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement (DOCARE) are seeking information about the person or persons who butchered a 250-pound green sea turtle at Onekahakaha County Beach Park in South Hilo.
