Kim says balanced budget isn’t enough

Mayor Harry Kim earlier this month presented a balanced budget to the County Council. Projected revenues from property taxes, gas taxes and fees cover the $515.7 million spending plan for the fiscalyear that starts July 1.

Euthanasia bill heads for final vote

A bill that would grant the terminally ill medical assistance in taking their own lives passed its final committee in the state Senate, opening the way for a final Senate vote.
