The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) will hold two community meetings to discuss a proposal to set aside hundreds of acres near Akaka Falls for subsistence agriculture plots.  The first meeting will be held Monday (23 October 2017), 7 p.m., at the Honomu Gym.  The second meeting will be held Tuesday (24 October 2017), 7 p.m. at the Keaukaha Elementary School cafeteria.

To get on the  waiting list for the ag plots, applicants “must be able to document that he or she has at least a 50 percent blood quantum that is Native Hawaiian.”
