When a Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey crashed in Hawaii last weekend, killing 2 Marines, memories of the tilt-rotor aircraft’s troubled past returned to many.
The U.S. Marine Corps is standing behind the reputation and service of the Osprey MV-22 tilt rotor aircraft, despite a fatal crash at Bellows Air Force Base. The Osprey is a replacement for slower, more vulnerable helicopters used to insert troops into hostile area. A full investigation is underway. Aloha, Russ.
