According to the "Honolulu Star-Advertiser", Kaiser Permanente is claiming that striking employees at the Moanalua Medical Center " are purposely blocking patients to get into the emergency room and to their appointments on the second day of a six day strike." Unite Here Local 5 representative Paola Redelas says the charges "are not true at all." Redelas says strikes move away when patients come to the emergency entrance and remain on the sidewalks to prevent traffic congestion. Redelas adds that police officers are helping to control traffic flow, which is especially bad during certain times of the day. The strike will end on Saturday. Aloha, Russ.
