Matson to pay a million-dollar penalty for molasses spill

The Matson Navigation Company will pay a one million dollar fine for its failure to prevent a molasses spill in Honolulu Harbor. The spill left a brown stain along the southern shores of Oahu and killed many fish in the area. Clean up was an expensive and time-consuming task. Aloha, Russ.
