A small asteroid discovered by the Catalina Sky Survey and confirmed by the PANS-STARR-1 telescope atop Haleakala on Maui will pass by Earth on Sunday, 07 September 2014.  Based on current calculations, Asteroid 2014 RC will pass about 25,000 miles from Earth at 2:18 p.m. EDT (8:28 a.m. Hawaii Time).  The close approach of the small space rock "creates a unique opportunity for researchers to observe and learn about asteroids."  Aloha, Russ.

  1. It’s about time some new research is done on asteroids. When was the last time anybody did any updating on those ointments and things? The old Preparation H seems to have been around for a very long time with no news about better science or improved formulas. It’s about time scientists got around to updating those who suffer from this condition.
