One of the more interesting political contests this year is the race for Colleen Hanabusa’s District 1 congressional seat.  Mark Takai and Charles Djou, both seasoned campaigners, are locked in a tight race for the spot.  Djou, a Republican, served briefly in Congress, from 2010 to 2011 after he won a special election for that seat.  Takai, a Democrat, has extensive legislative experience in the state Legislature.  Both candidates say they will work hard to reduce the cost of living in Hawaii and in providing jobs for Hawaii’s youth.  Aloha, Russ.
