No more delays. No more stalling. Following a decision by the Hawaii State Public Utilities Commission, Hawaii’s largest utility will “soon be required to help customers reduce their energy bills and install solar energy systems.” For many stressed homeowners and small businesses, the news couldn’t come fast enough. PUC member Lorraine Akiba said “it is now incumbent upon the Hawaiian Electric Company to use this road map diligently and promptly to move forward.” Aloha, Russ.
