3 suspects indicted on Hawaii mortgage debt scheme

Two Hawai’i women accused of making millions in an elaborate real estate scam appeared in federal court Wednesday afternoon to face dozens of felony charges.
Law enforcement officials in Hawaii and Sacramento, California have taken two women and one man into custody for running a sophisticated real estate scam designed to defraud mortgage lenders and escrow companies. Those detained include Jennifer McTigue, Sakara Blackwell, and Marc Melton. The three face a total of 45 criminal charges, including mail fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering. Aloha, Russ.
