The tragic plane crash death of Hawaii’s health director this week has brought out the conspiracy theorists who have long wondered about the real birth place of President Obama — including billionaire businessman Donald Trump.
The conspiracy theorists are having a “field day” over the untimely death of state Health Director Loretta Fuddy in a plane crash off the northern coast of Molokai. “Birthers”, those who claim President Obama wasn’t born in the United States and is serving illegally, turned to the internet Thursday to “suggest Obama plyed some role in Fuddy’s death.” Fuddy was the state official who released the official Hawaii birth certificate for President Obama in an attempt to answer the criticisms of the birther movement. Donald Trump, a lontime doubter of the President’s place of birth, told the “Washington Times”: “How amazing, the State Health Director who verified copies of Obama’s ‘birth certificate’ died in (a) plane crash…all others lived.” University of Florida law professor Mark Fenster said “adherents will search for evidence to support their beliefs, and each piece of news can give their theory new life…this is just one more fact that gets linked to the chain.” Don Cassino, professor of political science at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, added that “anyone who believes Obama’s birth certificate is fake will find a way to tie the plane crash to their beliefs.” Loretta Fuddy also helped implement the Affordable Care Act and the state’s Marriage Equality Act. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing it seems. What do you think? Aloha, Russ.
