Report Ranks America’s Biggest Carbon Polluters: A week and a half before the Environmental Protection Agency … http://t.co/XLByJsk9Ml
An informative report. New power plants will have to follow stricter EPA guidelines and pollute far less than they do now…another incentive to get off oil and coal as generator fuel. Hawaii’s electric companies are gradually shutting down inefficient power plants and opting for more wind, geothermal, solar, and biomass energy. The conversion will be expensive, but necessary. We have yet to use the most abundant resource in the universe for power generation–hydrogen. Once we can handle the special requirements for this volatile and flammable gas, our energy problems will lessen. Aloha, Russ.
