Honolulu has the second worst traffic of any city in the United States (only Los Angeles beats it). And yet, nobody honks a horn.
Russell Roberts‘s insight:
All that extra honking does is raise the frustration and distraction factor. When I lived on Oahu during my UH-Manoa days, I got up very early (3:30 a.m.) and drove in from my home in Haleiwa. I missed most of the heavy traffic. Later, I opted for an apartment on Dole Street and walked to campus instead of driving the rapidly filling streets. Traffic was bad back then (1972), too. Aloha, Russ.
