As the United States shifts more of its military forces to the Pacific Rim, it will encounter a vigorous Peoples Republic of China trying to extend its influence over the region.  The visit is a rare chance for the U.S. and its main Pacific adversary to work together on common goals, such as the eradication of piracy, drug traffic, and human slavery.  China and Russia are dominate forces in the Pacific.  We had better get used to working with them, rather than against them.  Aloha, Russ.
