Not much can be done to benefit Native Hawaiians until they speak with one voice.  A divided community can’t present a united front before Congress, which holds most of the recognition cards.  While the Akaka Bill had some faults, it was a good faith effort to bring all parties to the recognition table.  As Ben Franklin said back in pre-revolutionary days, "Join or Die."  Aloha, Russ.
