Aoki’s closes up North Shore shop

Aoki’s Shave Ice in Haleiwa will have a farewell Tuesday afternoon gathering to celebrate the shop’s 30-plus years in business.
Russell Roberts‘s insight:
Not to worry shave ice fans. Aoki’s will be moving across the street once the old building is torn down this year. Aoki’s like the former Fujioka Store were shave ice meccas when I was growing up along the north shore of Oahu. It’s sort of sad to see the old building go down, but Aoki’s should have a better location in a few months. Aloha, Russ.
