Many years ago, folk singer Joanie Mitchell had a song called "Parking Lot", which criticized unrestrained development at the expense of local culture and history.  This is one of those cases.  The developer claims he can move ahead because the Advertiser Building isn’t on a federal or state preservation list.  Ah, yes, the pursuit of the almighty buck!  Aloha, Russ.
